Based on the old proverb.

The scorpion needed to cross the river, so he asks the frog if he could get a ride across the river.
The frog said,” but you will sting me. ”
Scorpion replied,” Why would I do that then we would both die?”
Frog thought about it for a while and decided it made sense.
So scorpion climbs on frogs back and off he swims
half way across the scorpion stings the frog.
Frog before he died asked, “Why did you do that?”
Scorpion replied, “That’s my nature”

Decoration is painted with ceramic pigments and fired to seal under a transparent glaze.
